We believe in change

Rooted in the sacred teachings of the Buddha, the International Buddhist Cultural Social Foundation, based at the revered Bahirawakanda Sri Maha Bodhi Maha Viharaya in Kandy, is dedicated to serving humanity with compassion, wisdom, and loving-kindness. Guided by the Dhamma, we engage in charitable and social service initiatives to support communities affected by natural disasters, uplift rural and underprivileged children, and preserve Buddhist cultural and spiritual values. Through selfless service and mindful action, we strive to bring relief, hope, and harmony to all beings.

Vision

To be a beacon of Buddhist values, fostering social welfare, education, and relief initiatives that uplift those in need, both in Sri Lanka and beyond.

Mission

To empower rural and underserved communities through education, health initiatives, and social programs, fostering self-reliance and sustainable development.

Compassion is not religious business, it is human business; it is not luxury, it is essential for our own peace and mental stability.

OUR LEADERSHIP

The Foundation is led by a dedicated team of spiritual, administrative, and corporate leaders.

Immediate Relief

We mobilize urgent aid, providing essential supplies like dry food, beverages, clothes, and household appliances (beds, kitchen items, washing machines, etc.) to victims and affected families.

Infrastructure Repair

We are committed to contributing to the restoration of destroyed short roads and canals in villages, ensuring communities can reconnect and access essential services.

Sustainable Rebuilding

Our long-term goal is to empower those who have lost their homes and property to build new homes and, where necessary, contribute to the purchase of new property.

Livelihood Support

We actively strengthen efforts to help others maintain their livelihoods. This ensures affected families can transition from receiving aid to achieving self-sufficiency and stability.

Your Compassion Changes Everything

As the “Ditwa” cyclone continues to impact hundreds of thousands of lives in Sri Lanka, the International Buddhist Cultural Social Foundation (IBCSF) is organizing both immediate and long-term solutions for the victims. Your contribution helps families restore their livelihoods and rebuild homes lost to a disaster worse than the Tsunami and the Corona pandemic. Embrace the bounden duty of serving man.
